Our client, Laborers Local 300, heard from Maywood CA voters about how they saved copies of The Cats of Maywood direct mail four volume series. Knowing that voters are swayed by this creative approach, Local 300 asked us to again use a comic format featuring anthropomorphic characters to target Latino voters in the low turnout May 14, 2019 Special Election for LAUSD. La Vida de los Osos (The Bear's Life) created a two volume storyline of how hard families work to help their kids succeed in school.
Opposition research, if used appropriately, can drive voters towards your candidate. We love digging deep into public testimony and records, media stories, voter files and campaign finance reports to properly inform voters of their choices. But we are not afraid to use humor when it can make the research more effective.
